News of Steve Jobs death today has spread like wildfire, with personal and commercial statements being posted at every Facebook comment, Google+ circle, and and mobile text. His influences are seen nearly everywhere around the globe, from Apple and cellular technology to Disney and Pixar. His genius has been shared with everyone, yet leaving us at the age of 56 seems like a youthful time of passing.

Steve Jobs lead the world of technology into a further blossoming era of craftsmanship, design, and innovation.

Steve Jobs was a role-model, leader, and inventor of brilliant technology and interactive media. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives,” Apple said in a statement on its official website. “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”

Steve Jobs created more than just the iPod, iPad, and iTunes, so to highlight his role in elevating human interaction with technology into a new century, we’ve provided an overview of his creativity, vital acquisitions, and masterpieces.

In 1986, Steve Jobs acquires the company that was to become Pixar, releasing its first computer animated film Toy Story in November 1995. Pixar continued to impress the world with humorous computer animated films such as Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and WALL-E.

Steve Jobs returns to Apple in 1996, creating Mac OS X in 2001, and revealing the iMac and the brand “i” before every product-name (iTunes, iPod, etc.)

In 2005, Steve Jobs becomes the largest share holder of The Walt Disney Company.

Revealing some of his last creations, Jobs unveils the iPhone in 2007 and the iPad in 2010 giving birth to a stylish and innovative touch-screen nuance in the mobile market. Over the last few years, Apple has dominated the mobile phone industry, sitting just behind Samsung and Nokia with its ever growing iPhone brand. In the tablet market, there is no close competitor to the iPad 2, with the Apple iPad systems selling a total of 63.6 million units as of September 2011.
